Information regarding the strength of the 3/8" rod used for J-hooks & safety pins:

Our new J-hooks are now made using Grade 5 3/8 inch bolts without the threads. Although these appear small to the common consumer, the breaking strength of these bolts is about 9000 lbs as noted here: http://dodgeram.org/tech/specs/bolts/SAE_bolt_stren gth.html

The safety rods are also made of 3/8" material, but they are made from high tensile strength rod, which has been heat treated to increase the strength close to that of Grade 8 bolts ~ 1200 lbs. The new pipe system which goes around the rod, is made from a smaller pipe welded inside a larger 2" pipe, making them stronger & easier to line up the rods from one side to the other. This puts all the stress on the pipe and only stresses the 3/8 rod at the ends, which virtually eliminates any possible bending.

Pull-up / Chin-up handles offer the widest variety of adjustment settings on the market. They can be put to rotate in any direction & set at a wide variety of widths.
Safety arms are locked in place by a 7/16" pin that twists down so that it can't back out of the hole. The pins are also welded to short chains so that they will not get lost from the safety arms.
